1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family
I was raised in Egypt but moved to Australia in 2009 to pursue a career in medicine. Earlier this year I married Sarah, and even though we come from very different backgrounds, we are united in Christ, and both want to serve God.
2) What do you enjoy doing for recreation?
Mountain bike riding and hiking.
3) How has Jesus changed your life?
I have known about God since childhood, but have been getting to know Him truly since college when I started looking at the mirror of the Bible and seeing how broken I am and how amazing His grace is. On my own, I was everything I did not want to be, but Jesus is slowly changing me.
4) What’s your favourite Bible verse? Why?
“Romans 5:20 says, “Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,” I love this verse because at some stage in my life I thought I was a good person, but a family event showed me that I wasn’t truly good, and I needed God’s grace!
5) What excites you most about helping launch Aura Church?
The Christian fellowship with other believers and seeing people come to join us in knowing and worshipping God.
